I guess I would first ask you if she wants to be helped. I don't think you'll be able to do anything for her until she has reached to point of wanting to change. Once she is there you have lots of options.

First and foremost - she needs to see a dietician. Even something as simple as Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers. A self-regulated diet won't work. She needs a friend and a counselor to help her along the way (kind of like a sponsor at AA).

There are many other things to do, but getting professional help is the best thing for her...

GOOD LUCK!

She's reached a point where the best source of help is via the medical community. Start with the family doctor. Your method of help will be in a supporting role, as will other members of the family and inner circle.

Take her to see an obesity specialist, so you know what you need to do to make her more healthy (diet, exercise, etc). Then decide to do EVERYTHING she needs to do to het healthy WITH HER. She needs to know that you are there for her 100%. Small steps each day, with constant reevaluation, will bring you success. Just keep moving in the right direction. I wish you all the best. Your daughter's condition is REVERSABLE and she has youth on her side!

-fat removal
- sports

seek medical attention. they can advise her as to the safest, best and most effective ways to lose the weight. you may also want to encourage her to see a counselor as there are lots of emotional baggage that comes with being overweight/obese.

good luck.

Start by removing ALL junk food from the house. Look in the kitchen, living room, and her bedroom. And make sure it doesn't come back.

Go to her pediatritian to see if it has something to do with some condition she has and to see how her heart is and stuff and take her to a nutritionist. Get her to do active stuff, like go outside and play and some excercise rutines.
