Unfortunately, the "stomach virus" is just that - a virus. There is no instant cure for the stomach virus. You already have your best defense: your body's own immune system.
Antibiotics are designed to reduce the number of certain types of bacteria in your body. They have no effect whatsoever on viruses.
Shots for certain viruses like the "flu shot" are only an attenuated, or weakened version, of the same virus which causes the flu. Having this attenuated virus in your body just once, teaches your body's immune system how to fight it before it causes damage. (the sick feeling you get)
However, the down side is that there are many, many, many different versions of viruses (influenza virus, for example) and just because you received one version does not mean you will not be exposed or susceptible to another. (in other words, you could still catch the flu virus even if you did get a flu shot)
So, that said, drink plenty of water so you don't dehydrate, get plenty of rest, and try some good old fashioned chicken soup!
Hope you get well soon!

the flu is a virus. A stomach bug is usually a virus as well.
sleep, healthy food, fever suppressant, and a lot of water.
Having a healthy immune system is the only way to guard against a viral infection. eating right and exercising is the best you can do for your body to prevent this in the future.
You cannot take antibiotics for a virus. If it is a bacterial infection THEN you can. But the flu isnt a bacterial infection, its a virus.

There really isn't such a thing as a "stomache flu". Then flu is a virus that attacks your lungs. You probably have a mild case of food poisening, (commonly thought of as "stomache flu"). The best thing to do is eat salting crackers and drink as much 100% fruite juice as you can.

I've had it twice before, and let me tell you I don't even know how you can be on the internet. All I did was lie on the couch for three days (except when I was puking in the toilet). You pretty much just have to let it run its course. It is not really of any use to see a doctor in this case unless you've had it for more than a few days. Just try to relax, get lots of sleep, and no matter how hard it is try to drink tons of water. Eat things very light like applesauce, you might be able to keep that down. Hope you get better soon!

Time will cure it. Don't take any medications. Just let your body do its job...there is no sure way not to catch it, you can wash your hands well and use hand sanitizer in between washings. that is the best way to prevent the flu but its not a guarantee.

The best way to cure a stomach flu is by going to see a good acupuncturist. They can rebalance your system so you are back to normal again. I love to go in for acupuncture when ever I am sick since this makes me all better right away. Natural way to heel your body is the way to go.

You just sleep, drink plenty of fluids and try to eat crackers. It has to run it's course. I wish there was a cure, but, sadly, theres none. It's a virus, and as I said, virusus have to run their courses.
I do, however, hope you feel better soon. And also, the way to prevent it is to wash your hands. Always wash your hands. Especially before eating or touching your face.

you don't go around any one who has it.....and there is no cure for the flu but if you know you have it in the first 48 hours you can get a shot from your doctor that helps make it go away faster with less symptoms....HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON
