Me and bf have decided to split up because he has to move back home. We got together about a month ago, but have liked eachother alot longer, and were close friends. He will be coming back to our uni in a year and a bit, and I am seriously considering waiting for him. I don't want to tell him this, as I don't want to make him wait for me, I want him to do his own thing. I don't feel too bothered that he's moving, just because at least I know that he likes me in the same way I like him. Is it weird that i'm this calm about it??

Wow!!! Its so weird that I'm in exactly the same situation.....my girl had to go to NYC to do an elective, and she decided to split wif me because the whole long-distance thing was just working out too complicated.......but she did say whe should get together and talk about it once she gets back......and I'm just kinda hoping we can get back together, though i'm prepared to accept that might not happen.....but yeah, I'm not exasperated or anything....so if we're both feeling the same, I guess it ain't wierd!

No its a good sign that your calm about it, this means its set in your mind, though i personaly wouldnt "wait" for him, unless he was doing the same, you could be waiting like a "fool" (sorry) while he's screwing the brains out of girls back home? Sorry I dont know how old you are!

Im assuming your over 18 as u said coming back to uni!

Id have a chat and see he feels, please dont waste your time otherwise.

i think it's good that you're comfortable and not getting all emotional. Just stay friends and call each other in the mean time anything could happen. don't put a title on anything just go with the flow, it'll work out fine in the end, trust me...

good luck

I think you are a strong person and deep inside you have a strong belief about your love for him ... If he comes back to you it is great ... because that way you will be sure that he is yours ... else you have your answer ...

All the best :)
