i would like a jack russel but would conseter any breed

I am also in Northern Ireland, I have a Patterdale Terrir, there are lots of them about, great little dogs. Full of personality, like small Jack Russells

Sounds like a rescue centre would be best. They will give you a homecheck, and examine your suitability. They can help match you with the right dog. Also, I would consider an adult dog. They might come with training and housetraining, and need less of the constant vigilance a puppy requires. They are just as loving.
