Because they are happy and they want everyone to know that they are happy and they might feel just a bit insecure and want to advertise that their guy is taken

There is nothing wrong with letting sosmeone know you have feeling for another person, you shouldn't have to show everybody because they are not the one that needs to know that you have those feelings. The only one that matters is the one who is lucky enough to be in your heart. Just my opinion though, hope is helps a little.

Usually when people are in love, they're so happy that they want to shout it from the rooftops! I don't understand why someone would keep it a secret, unless it would hurt someone else. Anyway, that's why people like to show they're in love - because they're SO happy.
