I think it is amazing that the two people that have made the largest profit from this war are Michael Moore and Ted Turner.
Now you see why the media spin is what it is. Keep reporting, stir the pot, line their pockets.
DEEJay, Michael Moore owns stock in Halliburton. He was quoted as saying he does not own a single share of stock, his reply, I said "single" share. He owns multiple shares, in the thousands. This was revealed by the NY Times last year.

Ever since Vietnam I think it is the media's responsibility to keep any war in the headlines. The civilian and military commanders need to stay sharp so they cannot run the war without having a conscience behind their decisions.
As for the second question I thought it was wrong to go to war in Iraq, especially since Afghanistan was not fully under control. Once the decision was made I expected us to be victorious in Iraq. The war has been and is currently being fought the wrong way. Total domination should not have been sacrificed for speed, this country should have been annihilated, like Germany and Japan were, and then rebuilt from the ground up. Now U.S. troops will have to remain there just like in South Korea to make sure the Islamic Extremists don't get control of Iraq.

I don't think Michael Moore has made more money the Halliberton
That's just silly. The reason we went to war and this is just my opinion is for the same reason we went into almost any war from WWII up. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and to stay on top of the food chain. Can you imagine what the world would be like if America was not the World power that it is. I cant. I don't know if it would be better or worst but I know that the people in charge of the USA will never let you find out.

This war is just like Vietnam, there are no winners. We set around talking about American the free and then we invade other countries in the name of this freedom and tear their country apart for nothing. No "weapons of mass destruction" were ever found. This was just a political statement and a step that the rich make to cause things here to go up and we the American middle and lower class lose everything we have in order to just start over when someone gets in office that has some sense.

The media hasn't been doing it's job.
The two parties argue that the media is biased, or rather that Fox news is the only non biased network whereas all other news is.
I agree we should foucus more on the postive accomplishments, however, never lose sight to the reality which is constant death of civilans.
This was a war of choice....it is wrong.
It troubles me that a majority of the people who follow the fox news station believe that WMD's were found, and that Sadam Hussian was involved in 9/11. It troubles me.

We get a bit of the American media in the UK eg Fox, CNN.
The conservative media seem happy to spin that everything is going great. The liberal media seem too scared of being accused of bias to fully report the many problems.
