Canon, mine was £130.00 and produces stunning results. The good thing about a cannon is that the colours are in seperate cartridges, so if you run out of yellow, you only buy yellow and do not have to throw away a half full all-in-one cartridge. The best tip I can give you is to buy good quality paper, and the same make as the printer - a test was done by a photo magazine, and canon always print best on canon paper, hp on hp etc. plus in all but one case, Jessops paper was 2nd best. In the other case, jessops beat the proprietry one.
I once bought a cheap batch of paper from a well known supermarket brand, I thought my camera was playing up - the prints were pretty average. I then changed to a high quality paper (HP as it happens) and printed the same prints. The difference was unbelievable - I will NEVER buy cheap photo paper again.

I stopped printing my own pictures about a year ago. most modern printers these days do a good job of producing a decent photgraph and it all comes down to cost of cartridges (and availability) however the online and high street stores offer a far more affordable method of getting pictures. I use photobox and if I get the files downloaded to them before midday I usualy get the prints back the next day and I can have any size photgraph I want. Great quality and much much cheaper.

definetly a canon, they have great quality and awesome contrast! The only con is that they vibrate so much when printing pictures.
