Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is developing various helicopters and one aircraft is being tested. But these are government agencies. India is also developing very fast in Aerospace sciences. Our President himself is an aeronautical engineer and missile scientist.

But!
It depends on the individual what he wants to do with his degree. I have seen some people who have joined automobile industry after getting a degree in Aeronautical.

By the way, the airlines in India will require a lots of aircraft experts technicans for at least next 4-5 years.
