I think any words he said after "no" are just window dressing. He may "like" you (or like having sex with you) but that's it. You may be able to persuade him otherwise over time but for now that's the story.
Hint: next time let him ask. Takes patience, but there's a much higher chance of success.

oviously you know what it means, you spelled the word right.
Means you're sympathetic and inspiring. I don't really see why he would give you a compliment like this after declining your proposal. I'd say screw him and move on. If he declined, he doesn't like you enough. Don't waste your time waiting for an answer you'll never get.

Well, he thinks that it was cute that you asked him. Probably doesn't mean that he likes you especially if he said no to your proposal.
