I am going to the Sears Scratch and Dent store today to get a new washer. What brand should I consider and why? As far as style goes, I'm assuming most people would recommend front loading. Are there any disadvantages with front loading? I know about "Consumer Reports" but what I'm looking for is fast, FREE, condensed advice. If you have an account and want to tell me about their recommendations, the info. would be welcome.

OK a few tips ask yourself this (if is important to you)

Wash Load size (at least 18 lbs to take a full sized quilt)

Spin Speed - Cottons need a fast speed

Category Rating A,A,A, to E,E,E, (Power consumed, water used and noise level)

SIze of aperture - under worktop or in laundry room

Number of prgrams - usually 3 or 4 will suffice for most people unless you have LOTS of woolens, then check to see it has a delicates or woolens program.

Brand name - LG is VERY good - Bosch is VERY expensive for spares - Indesit is crap oops! CRAP!!

Dyson is probably the most expensive but is a fantastic washer (contra rotating tub)

Regards

Rob

we've had a bosch for a lengthy time period and its been magnificent. i'd also evaluate between the loo Lewis personal sort machines - i imagine they're made by Zanussi yet comprise a three 3 hundred and sixty 5 days assure as known. we've had genuinely one of their dishwashers for 7 years. As an aside, i purchased an Indesit for a vacation domicile, engaged on the commonplace that because it wasn't going to do as a lot paintings a cheap one will be ok. its been there for 5 years and does look to get the garments cleanser than the Bosch ! i'd not pass for a washer drier for the clarification you state. also a lot of them in straight forward words have a drying potential of 0.5 of their washing potential so in case you want to do a mixed cycle you could in straight forward words do a nil.5 load.

go to www.freecycle.org
and join a group near where you are.
Freecycle is an organization that hooks up people who are giving things away free with those in need.
