Yes I am a firm believer in the weather affecting you in many ways. SAD is a disorder that is associated with having little sunshine (Seasonal Affective Disorder)... I found the greatest difference when I moved to Nevada and then back to Wisconsin. and the sun shines so little here that I don't even believe the sky is blue here but just this yucky grey color... And it is extremely depressing. Also humidity can make you feel sluggish and irritable too... It isn't just our heads that can screw us up but our enviroment also plays a big part in how we feel.

Yes, moods are greatly influenced by the weather. My Psych always ups my dosage in the winter months because the holidays are stessfull, you usually are stuck indoors more, its cold and winter always lasts longer. It gets soo dreary and cold, spring is my favorite time of the year! Fall is also good for the spirit, going on a walk in the fall with a nice hot cup of coffee or cocoa is awesome. Or going to a fall festival. If you are in or around indiana, goto metamora for canal days in the fall, its beautiful there.

I know I am, in the winter I am more tired and grumpier, probably b/c it gets dark where I am before I even leave work for the day. It's been raining alot where I am but it hasn't been all day and the sun is out most of the time when it is raining. Still sucks though!

Yes. Rain is depressing. Any kind of gloomy weather is depressing. We have to polar opposite where I live. It's about 117 every day and humid as all get out. That can also be depressing.

Yes, this is true. It's raining here right now and I feel my mood taking a downturn. I find that I am at my best on sunny days -- it just lifts my spirits to look outside and see a blue sky with sunshine.

I am totally with you. Weather affects my mood. A rainy day makes me gloomy, sunny day makes me smile and cold weather -sometimes romantic sometimes depressing. Spring and Fall, I am enthusiastic!

The psychology community has an actual name for it! It's called Seasonal Affective Disorder. I get it a lot!

I am 24 and I love cold, dark, rainy weather. I never did as a child though. I guess I'm backwards.

indeed. we all need the light. there are actually special bulbs you can buy for use in the winter. i haven't personally tried them. Try getting up earlier in the day to get as much light as you can. and go outside. we get it bad in the winter cuz we get cabin fever from staying in away from the snow.

yah, i think its something psychological. the weather or the season can affect our moods. but you can get over it by thinking positive and focus on the work ahead of you.
