Unless they accepted Jesus as their savior, admitted to Him that they are sinners, and repented of those sins, and invited Jesus to live in their hearts, Unless they are born again, they will not see heaven.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Any christian who professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will go to heaven, even if they are Catholic. The only requirement for salvation and saving grace is accepting Jesus. If the Catholic does this and lives their life for Christ, forgetting all the other stuff about saints and Mary and purgatory (which doesn't exist), they will make it too. However, just because they are baptized as infants does not mean they will get into heaven. Baptism does not get us into heaven, just the saving grace of Jesus. No one can get us into heaven but ourselves. No one can pray us in.

Catholics are technically Christians. They believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior. There are just a lot of old practices in the Catholic church that have been such a part of the original Catholic church for political reasons, for lack of a better word, that are not in keeping with the Bible. Such as bowing down before idols, when they pray to or through statues; praying to Mary (no one gets to the Father, but by through Me - Jesus). I do believe that Catholics, who truly believe Salvation through Christ are Christians and will spend Eternity with God.

Everyone crosses over to the other side, and meets with whatever they expect to meet up with. "Heaven" is a state of mind, and if people expect to be greeted by Angels, God, loved ones, they will. Was Jesus Christ Christian? No, he was a Jewish man. He did not go to Church, because it did not exist while he was alive. Did he go to heaven and does he sit at the right hand of God, yes, He does. Therefore, if the Jewish man named Jesus Christ went to heaven, any pure and loving soul can. All that is needed is a loving heart to experience "Heaven" when we cross over. See the book "IF GOD WAS LIKE MAN: A Message from God to All of Humanity" - it explains all of this in much greater detail, and in plain english.

no, contrary to popular belief, not everybody gets into heaven. I am muslim and i was just informed by the mormons that only mormons can go to heaven. So i guess heaven is a small town of only about 2 million people. The other 100 billion people have to go to hell, that means catholics, muslims and jews. I will see you there buddy.

That is God's promise to His redeemed. However check this site out to keep yourself on track. Click on the video clip http://www.emjc3.com/helland.htm. There is not a catholic or protestant heaven or hell. Purgatory is not in the original manuscripts as monitored by the Jews which has become the protestant Old Testament.

Eternal life is a metaphor. Live a reasoned life, help those in need and contribute to humanity and you will be remembered forever. Like Martin Luther King or JFK. That is heaven, not a metaphysical, transdimentional location.

Based on the Bible, broad is the road and gate to hell but the one to heaven is narrow. From what I understand, the righteous will make it in by the skin of their teeth. Christ said there is no other way into heaven but by him. He also said many people will say in the last day Lord Lord but he will say I knew you not now flee from me sinner. Meaning a lot of people that are Christians will NOT make it into heaven even ones that did good deeds. We are suppose to live by strict adherence to the word of God and we make so many exceptions for what we want to do instead of what God wants us to do. According to the bible, we can't get into Heaven like that. It's really hard though because you have so many diff. opinions and doctorines, you aren't really sure which one is right. The best thing is to ask God for the wisdom to understand what his perfect will is for your life. Study the King James version of the bible with a dictionary and concordance on hand. Ask the Holy Spirit of God to reveal his word to you in simplicity. I wish there were a simpler answer to your question but really, we all just have to love as Christ love us and gave his life so we could join him next to Father God in heaven.
Catholics believe they live how they want to as long as they talk to the priest and family prays them in after they're dead. NO where in the bible does it say that. Firstly, you are suppose to pray to God in Jesus name, not a priest. Secondly, you are judged according to your works not by if a lot of people pray for you. Lastly, once you're dead, that's it. You are either in heaven or hell. There is no pergatory. Again, read the bible and live by what it says. That's the best way to ensure you're doing what God wants you to do.

catholics are very complicated, and i think they believe that you either go to heaven or you go to hell, which has different levels of torture. But I believe that if they are true in their faith then they will get into heaven.
