use a shampoo and conditioner for curly hair(Redken Fresh Curls) then use a gel for curls it has a stronger hold tip your head upside down and take a towel and scrunch the hair and try to get as much moisture out as you can. do not comb or run your fingers thru it. then get a diffuser to put on the end of your dryer and dry it. the diffuser will controll the amount of air that comes out of the dryer. while you're still tipped over put some pomade and hairspray in it. flip your head up and then place your hair where you want it. good luck

I have little ringlet-type things underneath my straight hair. When I pull my hair back into a half-ponytail, you can see the curly and wavy parts of my hair underneath. Just brush back the hair from top of your head to just above your ears and put it in place with and elastic or a clip if you want.

Wash your hair and while it's still wet put some gel or mousse in it . Carefully run a pick or wide toothed comb through it to evenly distribute it. Tip your head upside down and blow dry on low while scrunching your hair. just scrunch, scrunch, scrunch, paying particular attention to the straighter parts. If it is straight at the roots lift the hair as you dry to get volume. Flip your head up and don't comb...just finger place your hair. If it feels a little stiff just keep running your fingers through your hair and you will end up with beautiful natural looking curls.

Are you saying that the hair at the top of your head is straight, and the bottom part is curly? Ok, you might want to first have your hair cut in layers, then have only the top part permed in waves to match the bottom part. Then it will look like your hair is curly/wavy all over. Hope this helps!

What I do is after I get out of the shower, I put curling gel in my wet hair. Then, I wrap my hair in my towel and let it somewhat dry in that. Then I take my hair out after a half hour or so and I either put more gel in and let it continue to air dry or put my hair up in those clips all day and the next day your hair would be curly.

When your hair is wet put in musse, and scrunch. You can either air dry or flip your hair over and dry your hair using a defuser. When your hair is dry DO NOT USE A BRUSH! If you have to detangle use a wide tooth comb or a pick.
