I am not afraid of them, but I do feel intimidated by them - I don't know why this is.
I have discussed it with my friends and they all share my view.

Interesting question! Yeah i think quite a few guys would find it abit intimidating-i know i did when I was in that situation.
I think it's because guys have this desire to be the big/strong one and look after their woman and being shorter kinda contradicts that...just a thought anyways

i don't think so , i'vebeen taller then most of my past bf's and am taller then my current one. ive been in my current relationship for 8 months and i dont even pay attention to height anymore, and my man could care less about it.

such things don't matter to me for choosing a mate.
personality is what separates humans from the animals,
well...
and the capacity for illogical thought and behavior.
but that's what one ought to look at
otherwise there's nothing from stopping you from choosing a dog!
