Me and my boyfriend have been going out for about 7 months. It seems as I'm putting the most effort into the relationship. I'm always the one doing all the calling he basically calls about 3 times out of a 2 weeks period. Somtimes I feel as thought he isnt too concerned about me. He stays about 30 mins away from me on the other side of town and i bought him a b-day gift and he still hasnt come by to pick it up. Also I called him about 3 days ago and left a message on his voicemail for him to call me ...and I still havent recieved a phone call back yet!! What should i do? Should I put the brakes to this relationship? Overall he is a nice , respectful person , and very down to earth guy..!

If this guy is a nice, respectable person then he would have called you back by now, picked up his birthday gift, and would not be putting you through this stress. My suggestion is to leave him! If he truly loves you and wants you back, he'll change his ways in order to make it work. If he does not pursue you then you're better off without him. You should be happy and secure in a relationship, not always worried and sad.
Take it from my personal experience, when you're in a healthy, happy relationship down the road you will look back at this guy and say, "What was I thinking!?"

I am with KCBrig, you said he was respectful... now tell me how respectful is it that you brought a gift for him and he does not even show the gratitude of coming to pick it up.. that right there proves that he is trying to send you a message " I do not want your gift". We as women have to stop playing the victim and accept responsibility for giving men the power to control our destiny. Miss girl, you are a gem, you are a queen, so start acting like it!
We women see the signs, know the patterns and we just act dumb and overlook it because we allow our emotions to control our actions, instead of our GOD given intuitions. I suggest you take the gift back to the store, get your money back, take the $$ and go get yourself a mani and a pedi, or take yourself out and have a nice lunch or dinner, or go get that gym membership, and make a commitment to yourself to improve YOU. Don't call him anymore just stop cold turkey and in order for you to not think about him try replacing his number w/ a friend who is positive and can take your mind off of him, in no time, you will be on your way to " A more positive YOU" it's all about you girl, now ..run out and take that gift back!

Drop him. Too much drama and hassle. If he was interested then he'd be there. Men don't play if they have a women they really like. He'd have been there in an instant if you said you had something for him. In my own experience if my girl called me and I had the chance to talk to her - we'd have talked. If she got me something - I'd have been there.Call him, tell him where you stand, give him two weeks to shape up, tell yourself he's on a month probation, if he doesnt' straighten up - boot him to the curb.

that was the reason i broke up with my bf the relationship was going great when we first started going then he just stop calling or was always busy so i just said am not doing it anymore and yeah you should that time your wasting of him to call or try to make the relationship work you could find some else to invest that in or something else

i think you know the answer to that. it's over. return the gift, get your money back and move on. don't even have to bother calling him to let him know. go out with the girls and have a girls' night. a "nice, respectful person" would call back, by the way.

i a going through the exact same thing i mean you call the guy and he isn't home so u leave him a message that says to call u back. but he never does RIGHT!! guys r so weird i really shouldn't be helping u some1 should be helping US 2 !!so give him some more time thats wat im doing with my b.f.!!
