You've missed out on any opportunities for "cheap". Its 4th of July weekend and flights are already full and over sold from most cities. "Cheap" is 30 days or more in advanced. Weekends are most expensive anyway. Depending on where you are flying from, most cities you are already looking at over $600 round trip from most cities in the east to west.
Update your question to include the departure city and days.

Sorry, you will not get a cheap fare. The fare structure that airlines use price the lowest fares for purchase 21 days or more before the flight. The next tier is more than 14 but less than 21 days, the next is 7 to 14 days before the flight. and, THE most expensive tickets are those purchased within 7 days of the flight. If you want to go this weekend (like June 30) you will pay top dollar for your ticket.
Now you can try all of them web sites that people are recommending, but you will still pay a last minute price. If you don't believe me, check the price for this weekend and then check the price for a month from now.
In addition, in LAs Vegas hotel rooms on the strip go up $40 to $60 for Friday and Saturday nights. So your stay will also cost more. Hotel rates are cheaper Sunday through Thursday (except on holidays).

Vegas isn't "cheap" anymore..they dont' have the 99 cent buffets..if you do find one...good luck being able to eat it.
Circus , Circus is really cheap..and several places..downtown..like Terribles, and The Golden Nugget...you won't find cheap on the strip...
