Report the little ones that are trying to preach to me and belittle me at the same time - all while not answering the question put before them?

They ARE going against the community guidelines. Who's sinning more?

Me for reporting the children of god.... or them for breaking the rules of the site AND the rules of their own religion?

Hmm... turn the other cheek, forgive us as we forgive those who...

Would Jesus throw cheap insults at me such as, "You're really a scared little boy."

Funny... all the Christians I know in real life have a sense of humor... should I assume that I am wrong about that, and that these are the things they are REALLY thinking, but are too scared to say until they get online?

Scary thought, that.

I'm a woman, but thanks. The little boy comment was not indicative of my sex.

First of all, let me tell you this....A sincere, faithful Christian who practices what God/Jesus really teaches in the Bible, would not belittle you or judge you. The Bible tells us to first remove the "sin" from ourselves before we go pointing fingers and judging others. ALL of us are sinners, NONE of us have the right to belittle, humiliate, harrass or put down anyone else. The way to spread God's love and word is not through hard pressure but, rather, gentle discussion, an offering of sharing and prayer. Although I don't feel it would be right to report them, I would nicely ask them to stop and to go back and read their Bibles about how it tells us to be Christ's disciples. God bless you and I pray you will find your faith in your own journey in your time and in your way! And, by the way, even Jesus has a sense of humor...he has to! Just because we are Christians doesn't mean we have to be prudes or "serious" all the time. I can laugh it up with the best of them and Jesus is #1 in my life!

Well I won't call myself a Christian I no longer attend church, but I will call myself a believer. I try not to throw cheap insults, and yes, I do have a sense of humor. People get offended over such little things sometimes. I was reported once for something that I felt was NOTHING. But to someone else it must have been insulting. So it's all in how someone perceives things. I just wish there wasn't so many young kids on here that are seeing all the adult content. It would have been nice if Yahoo could have put an age limit on this thing. I don't mind what anybody says to other adults (unless it's a racial slur) I just hate that 11 yr old children are being exposed to some of the stuff on here.

They are going about your salvation the wrong way, I think anyway, at least I was saved differently.
Thats why I turned from God for so long. Creepy Christians turned me off.
They gotta learn when to back off.
God is love, he's not weird, or creepy like some of his followers.
He's not about putting you down, or making fun of you.
He's not about saying "You're really a scared little boy".
I came to God on my own. I realised that God truly loves me.
I realised that God wants me to worship him and sinse I found my life has changed for the better.
God is not negitive, and if thats how those Christians are making you feel, thats not God.
I'm a Christain. I love the Lord Jesus Christ,†
and I would report them,If they were harassing me. ( or I would pray about it)

First of all. All are guilty according to God. That is the whole purpose of Jesus. If Jesus could associate with a prostitute and all other types of sinners and teach them of Gods forgiveness, then we as children of God who believe in God should also show forgiveness to others. Where do we get off thinking our sins should be forgiven by God, when we can't forgive others? When the Bible tells us to confess our sins one to another it is for the purpose of healing our minds and hearts. Not basically asking God to forgive us, because he already has, but those that we have hurt or done wrong to in some way. Yes, Jesus did say turn the other cheek, only to help us stay away from conflicts, or because it's not good to repay evil doings with evil doings because He tells us to repay it with good. But knowing that we are incapable of this because of our sin nature, we still have His forgiveness. It is all a matter of ones maturity of ones faith. The Bible tells us to act Christ like, not be Christ. That's impossible! If God has a sense of humor, he exalts a sense of humor in others. And yes, people, even Christians, think crazy thoughts, but to know that some of those thoughts are designed by Satan is the key to building up resistance in ourselves against letting it have power over us. Hopefully that helped your question.

Way cool avatar. It looks quite alot like my daughter.

Oh, and by the way, I agree with you about people on here not going by the rules of this site. Seen some pretty sick stuff. But no matter, they will pollute every thing they can. Just ignore it. You are the better person for doing so.

No, most Christians you meet on your everyday dealings are not like that at all...I am a Christian myself and I do agree with you.
There is a VERY fine line between preaching to someone out of love and respect, and bible-bashing to fulfill one's own egotistic need for self-gratification.
And Yes, Christians have a sense of humour, provided the humour is not provided at the expense of one's own deap-felt deblief and does not cruelly attack or humiliate them nor their creator, then there is nothing wrong.
Jesus would not throw insults like "You're really a scared little boy" but would much rather smile and say "Come to me all you labourers and heavy ladens and I give you comfort."
And to all my fellow Christians out there answering questions with anger and insults, maybe its time that we learnt from Christ who rather than ridiculed the samaritan woman at the well, but had a loving and peaceful conversation with her until she became one of the greatest evangelists in Christian history and dieing as a martyr for His sake.

My friend, I appologise for your experience, and hope you forgive them, and I hope you do not let our actions be a reflection of what the Real Christ is like.

God bless.

Well as a christian myself I would think that christians shouldn't belittle you, Jesus didn't belittle anyone he laid the offer of salvation on the table and if you wanted to take it fine if not that is your buisness if you have friends that say they are a christian then they are supposed to have a since of humor don't just take a few people who you get offended by and label everyone else. I don't know if you been stereotyped before but its not fun.

Yes, you should report them.

Passionate--even heated--debate is fine, but just posting an insult to be annoying and collect the 2 points violates the rules of Answers--and Christians are supposed to really big on rules.

Well if they are not answering the question you should report them for spamming. (It's not a sin... haha.) I think that as true Christians they would act the same online as they do in person. =) So report those little buggers... I don't like it when people don't actually answer the questions, even if I am a Christian.

actually, there is a story where jesus went into the city, and was so upset with the things going on there, he upturned tables where people were gampbling and yelled at them calling them ignorant simple people. so, yah, he might have called you a scared little boy, but as far as i know, jesus is not online today, so no one should be saying that to you. they are not god, and it's not their place to judge you.
