Why do men think they are better than women when it comes to work.?

It depends on the work environment, the company culture and the average culture of the male employees.

I hear you, I work in a male dominated environment, where to get recognition you have to work 3 times harder than everyone else. And sometimes even that's not enough. But these men are smart about it, they can keep the comments quiet, and they can make things appear so circumstancial that you can't prove any ill-will.

It's hard to find a workplace that is conducive to a happy, healthy and balanced environment. That sometimes means switching fields, or shaking the tree to help level the playing field.

I know how you feel, I don't have any advice to give you, since I am still struggling with the same issues myself. All the best!

If men think that in regards to work, then they think that way about everything else as well, not just work. I guess it could be the way they were raised. It is really sad that in this day and age men can still think that they are better than women. It depends on the individual rather than a group of people. It is just like stereotyping, i can`t stand it!!!!!!!!

because men have been programmed to think that they can do anything better than a woman...and if they can't then they are weak....which by the way is dumb.

I think Guys should get the chance to be "the man" once in a while though. Women want to be taken care of and a weak man can't take care of a women.

It all about ego. Being a man, I know this. Most men are stronger than women and we want to feel like we are smarter too.
Put these together and you have a better worker. Of course we all know this is not true. The smartest person I know is a women and I promise you no one works harder. Don't sweat it. It's just us guys stroking our egos and manhood.

Men think they're better than women at everything. It's their nature. They only see men as competition, and all their energy goes toward one-up-manship with them.

You don't need to prove anything to them - just laugh at their arrogance, and do a kick-*** job at your work. Your performance will speak for itself. Don't buy into the competitive game. Even if you win, the praise they'll give you will be half-assed, to save their own egos.
