try having a personal relationship with jesus, rather than walking around trying to do what you think you should. he cares more about your heart, than the things you do. it's hard to stop doing naughty things, but its harder when he's close by! if you really want to stop, seek jesus, not the religion.

Well, personally I don't see anythign wrong wtih it. I am a Christain as well. I do my best to live according to God's word. From what I have read, and this is my personal opinion, I have seen no where that the Bible says you can't look at Porn. As long as you keep it to yourself. The problem comes when you eventually get bored with the 'same old, same old' and try more and more and more. that could get you into trouble. The preachers say that and I've never dared to argue with them on it.
But you are a grown man so if you want to look at Porn or masturbate, I see no reason why you can't.
Seek out a good Christian thrapist (do a web serch for your area) who can help you to control this. Because while I don't feel that what you are doing right now it wrong, it may eventually lead to trouble.
Hope I helped a little.

Change is hard. I know that from experience. It wasn't until I realized the part Satan and his angels play that I could make changes. If we don't realize it is the devil that puts the evil ideas in our heads we don't get to far in our Christian walk. The first step that needs to be done is to pray about it. And then be determined not to allow yourself to be convinced by the devils whisperings to go and re-enter the same cycle all over again. When you are hit with the temptation turn your comp off rather than sit at it. go into prayer as soon as you can and invite Christ to work in you right then and there. You need His power to fight the devil. Then read your Biblle for a while then sing or play some really good Christian music. Do not return to the comp as long as you have the urge to see porn because you will go right there without even thinking about it till it is too late. It is hard at first but it gets easier as time goes on.
My nephew struggled with this problem for some time. When he finally confided in me and asked for help he was able to slowly get away from it. At first he spent most of his time on his knees, reading his Bible, singing and rebuking the devil.
His relationship with his wife has strengthened and so has his ties with his children. Porn affects relationships in a very negative way. It is the devils intent for this to be. He knows what to attract you with and lays it out for you. Your mistake is biting the bait.
I do hope for your sake you are able to break from this addiction in the power of Jesus

First of all you are not alone. You can try talking to your pastor, or have some one pray with you. When you get the urge to view porn call on Jesus for help, or just leave your house go for a walk to get away from the computer. As far as masturbation goes I was told its OK as long it doesn't consume you, I mean some people both man and women who have masturbation problem so bad that they rather do that hen have sex with there wife or husband. Keep praying and asking God to help you resist.

Porn is just like any other addiction. Once it gets you it is very difficult to quit. WHY??? Because it is a habit that reinforces itself by making you feel good. HOW? The brain releases endorfins at the pleasure center of the brain upon orgasm making you feel good. Porn simply is a means to an end for the brain to achieve a better high by putting more endorfins into the brain during masturbation.
Tapering off does not work. And unfortunately going cold turkey is just about the only way to do it. Very much like quiting smoking. The best way is quit.
HOW TO QUIT?? It is tough but the best way is to completely disassociate yourself from it. (Bad association spoils usful habits) Open a new email account and close the old one. That way no leading popups and bad emails to remind you. Do not put new porn sites into your favorites. Set the filters on your computer to stop porn from getting to you. This is like a door for you. You know if you open the door you are going where you don't really want to go.
Don't kick your self and beat yourself up about relapes. We are imperfect humans, it happens. Just like smokers only about 10% succeed the first time. But don't use that as an excuse to go take a peak. You have two things going for you -- you recognize you have a problem that you want to deal with & have asked for help. Good for you. You will need a lot of interstrength to accomplish breaking free of this addiction.
You have stated that you believe in God and that you read the Bible and go to church. The Bible states at 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness". At Psalms 65:2 says "O Hearer of prayer .... " . This is David using the phase to address God.
At Psalms 143:10 it says "Teach me to do your will, For you are my God." and at 1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has taken YOU except what is common to men. But God is faithful, and he will not let YOU be tempted beyond what YOU can bear, but along with the temptation he will also make the way out in order for YOU to be able to endure it."
In a greater sense by you asking for help in this venue you have made a public prayer to God that you needed help.
If you pray and are sincere and have faith God will answer your prayers. I hope he has opened the door for your to learn more about Him and his son Jesus.

There's nothing wrong with masturbation, it's a perfectly natural, healthy thing for any man to do. The only thing wrong with porn on the internet is you will probably get viruses on your computer. Try magazines or movies instead.
Oh, and try to remember, those girls in the porn do not represent real women. They are in the business of fulfilling fantasies. (ie: not real). They have been "altered" to look like that, so don't expect a real woman to look or act like that.
Don't confuse those women with real life women who actually have brains and don't spend all their time preening and making themselves beautiful for a man, but actually have to go out and work for a living or raise kids and look after a home etc. Don't bring these false views of women into the "real" world. Leave it where it belongs, in your fantasy world.

Who told you that was wrong. If you have to believe in the Bible and do everything it says , then go with be fruitful and multiply. I know that I will be opening up a whole new topic with this , so please forgive me. God didn't write the Bible . Men did! And other men got together and picked a chose what they wanted it to say. Men interpret it to fill their own coffers and to keep ( what they think ) are subservient people doing their biding. God NEVER told you not to touch yourself, to enjoy beautiful people in the height of sexuality.
The Church was afraid in the early days that if you masturbated then you would not have enough children to fill the congregation. To fight in their wars in the name of God. To get them the money and power that they so desperately longed for.
But I digress , You don't have to stop what you are doing , you have to control it. As long as you don't hurt anyone with your actions ... Enjoy yourself ( no pun intended)

Dont stop it. God wants you to be good at heart, help others, be kind and sincere and watching porn doesnt exactly qualify you as hell material... Otherwise, you could just be a monk and quit the world and go live on a desertd island with no electricity! Dont worry this isnt such a big sin.

Concentrate more on your relationship with God. The Scripture says that we are to "come out from among the world and be a separate people" which means we are to set ourselves aside for the Lord's purposes. Another one says that we are to "Mortify the deeds of the flesh....." which means we have to literally kill off the things we used to do before coming to salvation. Cultivate a new attitude in serving God, and rid yourself of the physical aspects of your temptation and God will take care of the rest.

Pornography is one of the fastest growing vices for Christians as it can be readily seen in the privacy of their home without magazine subscriptions - to receive resources and support go to www.family.org - they will have an 800 number that will allow you to speak with counselors (free of charge) and they will also send you materials that will help you begin to rebuke this sin in your life. My prayers are with you as you fight this battle of Satan's stronghold in your life. Take it to the Lord in prayer. Even though the 12 steps have often been thought of as for alcoholics, the basis when applied with God as the "higher power" have been quite successful with other addictions, and pornography can become an addiction that destroys you from the inside out as all addictions do. You've been lifted up my friend. Take the first step as you have here and follow through in seeking the professional help that family.org can offer. It is a tremendous asset.

Taking into consideration that any Christian facing such a dilemma would most likely seek help from a source less public than this, I'd say you're full of it and actually looking for attention.
Having said that, I suggest you ask a question that could really help you, why like you feel you need this type of attention.
