I'm pretty much a cat guide for dummies! =D Some cats pick a "preferred person" who they go to for affection and food the most. I'm not sure why it is, but my cats are like that. It kinda makes me feel happy to be the preferred person!

Just come to this forum. It's free and you get the experience of many people. In a book you only get the view of the author. And I've seen a lot of stupid advice in books. Such as, "a ball of yarn or string is a great toy for a cat".... The vet removed 2 feet of string from my kittens intestine....

Yes there is a book out there for cats guide for dummies. I saw it.
Cats can be unpredictable. Get cat balls other toys and play with him. the more you play with him, the more he will want to be around you. Some cats like men better, and some like women
better go figure? Play with him and see how it goes.

You're lucky, my cats just run away. In any case, there are guides for all animals in the pet shops. Perhaps the cat needs more toys to keep it occupied or a different diet to keep it full. When in doubt, check with your vet.

Yes there is. If you go to a site such as Barnes and Noble or Amazon, do a search on "Cats for Dummies" and you'll find it.

A cat's guide? How are cats going to be able to read it?

You do not need to buy a book. Go to About.com and sign up for their Cats newsletter. It will tell you everything you need to know and they also have a forum there.

I prefer to use online forums. I go to www.thecatsite.com and talk to people regarding my questions.

However, there is a cat's guide for dummies.
