A good exercise program, trimming back on the meals, and making sure you get the most out of the meals is a good way to lose the weight.

You'll most likely not see a huge amount of weight loss in the beginning because as you exercise more you'll gain some muscle mass, and muscle weighs more than fat.

You may also want to look into some supplements to compliment the healthy diet. while eating healthy is good, food these days has been processed so much that most of what you need is missing.

I take several supplements: Sea Vegg, Flax Oil, shark Cartlidge (for your joints) and Herbalean. Any health food store should have a good battery of supplements.

The Herbalean is a good one because it has ephedra in it for a metabolism booster. Epehedra was recently unbanned, and the FDA allows 10mg per dosage. It also has hoodia for the appetite suppression, so I actually had to set an alarm to remind me when to eat for about the first 2 weeks.

I added resources below, so check it out. Hope that helps!

Losing weight takes patience and determination more than anything else. If you're prepared to do battle then I would say a good start would be lots of walking and lots of water. It's amazing what a 45 minute walk can do if you do it every single day. This is a great way to start because it's completely safe...once you've done that for a month or so you can get going to the gym. Ask one of the attendants to help you get on a program that will burn calories as well as tone muscle.
Your diet should be lots of fresh vegetables and fruit and very little sugar and fat with several small meals a day...keeping the portions small.
If you can keep this up then you could be a new person in six months. and well on your way to becoming a whole new man in a year! The important thing is don't get caught up in crazy/extreme weight loss ideas (get thin quick schemes), they just get you frustrated and sabotage your efforts and at the worst make you ill. Patience... patience is what it takes and envisioning yourself as what you want to be...cut out a picture of your ideal body and tape it to the fridge, we all need incentive *smile*
Good luck, and remember...if you believe you can...it will be so and if you believe in yourself you can be whatever you want to be!

it's not a good idea to only consume about 1000 calories a day while playing sports 2 hours a day. what sports are you playing? some such as soccer require a lot of running, which requires a lot more calories. the best thing to do is find a good nutritionalist. he/she will help you find out how many calories you need, and what foods will be best to eat for your weight loss.
it's great that you are playing sports for 2 hours a day, but remember you need to do something that is aerobic, since that helps burn calories-soccer, running, swimming, biking, basketball are a few good example. make sure you find something that you enjoy, then working out won't seem like such a chore. and don't be afraid to switch it up, you'll keep your body challenged, and you won't get bored. you also need to lift some weights since muscle helps burn fat, and helps tone the body, gives you strength, and gives you those ripped model looks.
also, don't lose hope!! this isn't a instant process, it all takes time. you'll hit a few plateaus, but keep going, you'll break through that wall, and feel even better when you get through it. finding someone to go through it with you helps.
make sure that yopu drink plenty of water and get plenty of sleep, since both are needed to help repair your body, and flush it of the fat that you're trying to lose.
good luck to you!

well weight loss will not happen overnight. keep it up doing the exercise. watch what you eat as well. is you eat a burger a day thats not the things to do. eat vegies and chicken. stay away from red meat as much as possible. its ok to eat it 2-3 times a week. fat is a necessary part of living though! just watch how much you intake with the butter and oils and such. what also helps would be to to GNC or walgreens ect. and use Hydroxycut. It will help you lose weight faster than just doing what you are doing and also sticking to a healthy diet while using it. lets say 1 1/2 months you would lose 5 lbs compared to 14 lbs on that.

You are overweight by lioke 30- 40 pounds, wow!!!!!!!YOU may want to lose weight desprately but eating only 1000 calories a day isnt good. You should eat more healthy food. Maybe try to jog or walk or ride your bike. Swimming, boxing or yoga is good to. If you have only been doing this for a week results may not show, wait 3-4 weeks to see results. Godd luck!! :)

I think you should consume more calories, specially because you are a male and are exercising. Take the slow-but-steady approach, because if you try to starve yourself, you will get bored very easily and in two weeks you will drop your diet and you will eat everyting in sight!!! Take this from a 33 year old woman who has dieted since she was 16. Congratulations on your two-hour exercise

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:
The correct way to burn fat and stay healthy is to burn more calories than you consume
You need to make sure you are eating healthy foods while still excercising
If you have a big appetite drink plenty of water so that you will feel full but not consume calories
But you should always eat
If you start to skip meals you will only be more hungry at your next meal and probably eat way too much
Remember, the average persons stomach is as big as a slice of pizza scrunched up into a ball
So you shouldnt be putting more food into your stomach than what fits
Also, it takes aproximately 15-20 minutes for your brain to realize that you are full
so eat slower and you will realize sooner when you are not hungry anymore
