try some high quality tea trea oil. the peroxide is a good idea, but you might need something that can go down into the skin and kill it.
what i would do is i would get some good tea trea oil at whole foods or some place like that [low quality stuff is from walmart, don't trust it, they use pine oil in it too so it doesn't work as good]. then i would do just what you're doing with the peroxide, let it bubble and sizzle and give her treats everytime she sits still. ignore her when she's yapping and jumping and keep trying to clean it. but the second she stands still or stops something bad, stop cleaning it and rub her and give her a treat. she'll go, 'wow, standing still really pays off. and maybe, this doesn't hurt as bad as i thought'. then, once she's calm, start again very gently, she'll probably start behaving on her own motivation before long.
i would keep spraying the peroxide in her ear until it stops bubbling, it might be three or four doses, you want EVERYTHING bad out of her ear so that whatever is in there can't get reinfected every time you turn your back. then i guess i would take a really soft rag and try to clean it out very gently and softly with lots of treats :-).
after that i would get an eyedropper full of tea tree oil and drop about four drops on the spot that's infected. then, lastly, i would mix petroleum gelly with tea tree oil and plaster it on the spot so that it will stay there and not drain out or into her ear. also, the gelly will make some of the itching stop.
i hope i helped some.
good luck!
also, she might need some antibiotics on the inside because she may have an abcess. i'd try cleaning it out really well first and watch it for three or four days for improvement. if it doesn't get better, take her to the vet, it could be an abcess that's turning septic. eventually it will poison her blood if that's the case.

Sounds like severe untreated ear mite infestation. Stink ear is a first clue, plus intentional shaking of the head, and attempts to scratch. All of this will cause the ear to get very red, and dirty looking which is caused by the mites. You do not have to go to a vet. Try a Petco, or feed store for an ear mite solution, and also a solution to clean the ear.
Flop-eared dogs tend to develop this more that a stand up ear, but all dogs and even cats can get ear mites. Once this is cleared up, watch for the early signs of infestation continually. If caught early you can spare your pet from alot of misery. The crying is because the ear is raw inside, it stings and itches badly. Go to the feed store or a good pet store.

She has ear mites. If you look inside her ear and see a black build-up....its a positive sign of mites. Peroxide isnt going to kill off the mites. You need to take her to the vet and get her checked. You wont get rid of the smell and she wont stop scratching at her ears, until the mites are dead. This will save both of you some agony. If the mites are left untreated, they can eat right thru to your dogs brain. And, I know you love her to much for that to happen. The medicine shouldnt cost you more than 8 dollars. Small price to pay for your little beloved one. Do not try sticking Vasoline or any product like that in your dogs inner ears. This can lead to so many more problems, including hearing loss.

Ear mites, are very common in dogs. Go see your vet, and get a wash solution that you use, you will have to clean the ear out, every day 2 or 3 times, until they are gone. DOn't let it get so bad that the dog can have premanent ear damage. Take care of it, and every so often, check the ears for that smell (every 6 months). They will come back, just treat them with the solution.

Take her to the vet!!!! She most likely has ear mites or just an advanced ear infection. We took our dog to the vet and our vet gave us some ear cleaner and some ointment and told us to clean her ears once or twice a day, and put the ointment in. She may complain when you clean her ears because the peroxide may hurt. But it does sound like mites or an advanced ear infection.

Try taking her to the VET. Don't use peroxide inside the ear!!! If you must clean her ear, use water and don't stick anything inside her ear. She could have an ear infection or ear mites. Take her to the vet asap.

Take her to the vet because they have prescription medication (ear ointment) and special ear cleaning solution. It may also need to be put on oral antibotics, or it may even be a yeast infection. Those often smell really bad, so basicly take your poodle to the vet.

I dont think using peroxide was a good idea. perhaps she has fungal infection. There could also be a bite from some ticks or mites. Don't use water and immediately take her to the vet.

Hydrogen Peroxide??? Are you crazy??? Peroxide works against fungus and bacteria because it BREAKS DOWN tissue! No wonder your dog screams! You could cause permanent hearing loss! Get to the vet, for Christ's sake!

you need to stop the home remedies and take her to see a vet. It could be something other than that my dog had an ear infection an it didn't smell. It could be something far worst
