Did you try asking her? There are thousands of reasons and possibilities. Having a different belief system is extremely hard on a relationship though. It can work, but with the birth of children (if thats something the couple wants) it becomes even harder. What do you teach them, how do you bring the children up? What will they be taught to believe?

Chances are though, if a relationship doesn't work out there will be someone out there that will be better suited for you. It may take some time, but don't give up.

Time is the only true way to help heal a broken heart. Most people never get over a "true love" though, even with time.

One step at a time. One note at a time. One could consider a change in the avatar! But if you're Christian, why would you want to be with an atheist girl? That's the heart that is broken and needs mending. And you or I can't do that only Jesus can. Other wise you take the line from Sleeping in Seattle and you put it into practice - you get up everyday and you take one breath at a time and sooner or later you realize those breaths aren't dependent on her at all.

For a broken heart I usually use staples and Krazy Glue.

I'm sure her atheism has nothing to do with it. What mends a broken heart? Time.

are you trying to shove your religion that you chose because of your own personal circumstances down her throat? that would be ill advised. religious conversion is a personal thing that is up to the individual.

you remind of a song.. "Bee Gee.. how do you mend a broken heart"

The song provides no answer though
