I know there was once an Order which I think was active during the Middle Ages, but I understand Rome did not approve of their orgies and managed to shut them down. Are there any contemporary Christian Orders who have a sex positive attitude and maybe have orgies while praising The Lord?

I agree with tefi on this one. Sex is for marriage and nothing else. I know alot of people don't like this sort of answer but you have to bring that up with the big guy yourselve God that is.
Sex can and is used worship to many pagan god's, but it never truthfully satifies. (Don't think you can fool yourselve by saying it does.) If people treat sex like this then God is angry because that isn't the reason God created it.
If you are married and have sex heck you can 'praise the Lord'.
Why do you ask this question?

As far as I understand, the bible pretty much says that the sexual act between a man and a woman is a spiritual gift from God and therefore a way of worshipping Him. It is also very clear that said man and woman should be married and that sex outside of this is at best falling short of God's plan for us and at worst a downright sin.

All i know is that if you satisfy your spouse sexually you are doing service to God because it is an order to do that. Anything outside that is not christianity only a form of it.
