Yes.
Yes.
No, but I accept that it happens.

To me, it is natural for a Man to have this reaction. But it is the actions taken that define a real Man. The point is that a Man must be able to control himself and be respectful and polite.

I'd have to be blind or a castrated for this not to happen. no.. it still could happen...

When you see a woman in a modest dress that covers and conceals the feminine attributes do you get these same feelings?

Not the same feelings. When they are dressed modestly, the attraction is elevated to a slightly more respectable level, albeit adulterous nonetheless.

ANd do you want other men looking at your wife, your mother, or your daughter in this manner?

Want? No. I imagine the sons, husbands, and fathers of those I gaze at immorally are just as displeased with my actions as I am of theirs and hopefully my own.

Good point.

First, are sexual urges part of God's plan? How else do we propagate.

I see you, I go: Wow and then make an attempt to get to know you so that hopefully you will let me KNOW you (in the Biblical way) and we can be fruitful and multipy.

That was GOD'S order, was it not!

What was not part of God's orders was that I try you out first to see if I like KNOWING YOU, see if I like what you got.

I mean, you really have to be a low snake in the grass to say, I liked everything about you, your smile, your voice, your personality, your sense of humor, but your breasts, they don't turn me on, so I have to go find another girl to shower my attentions on!

That's low.

You don't need to show skin to attract a man.

One very beautiful girl I knew (with double Ds) didn't shave. No where. Not under the arms. Not her legs. It turned a lot of guys off to her. It was how she separted the wheat from the chaff. She's show em and they'd pass.

Another girl I know wears Farm John overalls, hides her breast so much it almost looks like she has none, wears her hair in a bun, no make up, no deoderant or perfume. I found her very attractive and desireable. I didn't care what she was packing, so long it was geniune girl.

Yes, indeed, men look! If you're showing, I'm looking, especially if it looks very nice!

Sorry.

Did God make me that way? Possibly. Maybe that's how we do it.

The free will part comes with do I force you, do I take it or do I obey your wishes. And if you don't return the desires that I have for you, do I live with it or do I go off in a huff? Do I not want to continue knowing you because you make it clear there will not even be a small kiss (in other words are you just a mouth, two breasts and opening or is there more to you than that)?

That's also low.

To say a girl is only worth the effort if you might get something is a low point in male behavior. This is not to say one should continue looking and trying with other girls to be fruitful and multiply, but is that the only reason to know somone other than in the Biblical sense?

Oh, and every girl is someone's daughter.

And everyone want's their daughter to be safe and smart.

And the divorce rates prove parents failed 50% of the time.

A Christian man is no less a man than any other, so we can be aroused just as much as any other man. The difference is that (and this depends on the level of maturity of the individual) we may choose to look away from temptation rather than indulge our eyes and risk going down a path of possible adultery or fornication of the heart.

As for a woman in modest dress, that too can be 'sexy' and 'feminine' in its own way. While maintaining decency. A lot of these things depend on individual taste and the woman herself.

Of course no one wants their loved ones looked at as objects but what does that have to do with your first question?

This is how I see it. The woman that is dressed in short shorts is trying to get attention from anyone and everyone. The woman that is dressed more modest wants attention from certain people. Yes they both cause urges, and no I do not like when other men look at my wife or anyone like that.

Interesting question. I personally will say that I don't want other men to look at the women in my life like that. However, my wife is a cello player and I know that there will be men that look at her in that way because she is extremely atractive. To answer your first question, in the past yes, a woman wearing low cut tight outfits did give me urges. None that I would have acted on but yes they were there. The sexual urgese generally came from a physical attraction. Now there were some women who did cover themselves up that I was attracted to but it was more because of who they were. Did I ever think of them in a lustful manner? Sometimes but not always. Did I always lust after those tight fitting clothed women? Sometimes but not always.

Well urge is one thing and acting on it is another. A woman will attract a guy just on the basis of the woman being a woman.

Admiring beauty is one thing but longing after and lusting after is another. The more unclothed a girl is the more it goes from admiring to lust I think.

Hiding curves and form and the fact that your female I think is rediculous. But being near naked is shameful.

Some dress ideas are more victorian creations than biblical ideas. In middle ages and before women would freely nurse their kids and people didn't look lustfully or shamfully on them. But victorianism ruined that and in a way ruined a great and amazing ability for many women. The world is screwed up there is no doubt in that. But its important to determine if what you are promoting is trully biblical or something that sounds like it could be biblical.

if i see them in tight pants or shorts etc., yes i do get sexual urges, but i do not think of sex as a bad thing anymore than i think that the smelling of cookies making me hungry is a bad thing, women's bodies are beautiful and should be admired by men

God has made us sexual beings and refined us through the evolutionary processes to desire sex

Sex therefore is a natural urge and something to be enjoyed not looked down upon

if i see a woman in modest dress, i sometimes also get sexual urges

i dont see a problem with getting the urges, i see a problem with adultery, cheating, sexual activity without love and things like that to be the problem

I personally am not turned on by women who dress provocatively. I believe that women are more desirable when they dress modestly and leave things to the imagination. I would not want people to look at my mother in the sexual way, but, I cannot stop anyone from doing so. I could stop them from looking at my daughter in that way. I can control the way she dresses until the day she moves out of the house.

Tight/revealing clothing activates lust, and isn't about the person underneath (which is bad). But, it get's lots of attention.

Modest clothing may still activate sexual thoughts, but I think it's in a more respectable way--like a man/wife thing.

A good representation of these are a waitresses at Hooters restaraunts and an elementary school teacher. Both are attractive, but it's a different kind of attraction...

Sounds as if your questions are leading so as to win an argument with someone. Maybe a rephrasing something like, "what is appropriate for women with regard to their choices of clothing?"

or

"Are there any types of clothing on women that should be avoided because of potential feelings or urges they may cause?"

Maybe you will get the responses you are looking for, or maybe the Lord will teach you something in the answers.
