I don't know but I'll tell ya what... My immediate thought when they broke into videos on VH1 with the breaking news on 9/11 was 'OMG'. My second thought right on the heels of that was 'Bush is gonna use this to go after Saddam somehow.'

To help stabilize the middle East. The last 4 Presidents all knew we had to go into Iraq. They were just waiting for the right opportunity. Believe me, Bill Clinton would have went if had a good chance.

What happened to this country on 9/11 was just the beginning of what is to come. Most Americans have never experienced war. Most appear anti-war. But when things happen here like goes on in Israel every day-they will change dramatically.

Someone said because illigal immimgrants crashed planes into our twin towers, a field in Pennsylvanian, and the Pentagon, but then someone else said it was a particular set of weapons of mass destruction, then someone said it was because of the mass of oil supply they sit on, then someone said it was to protect the investment of lives, money etc. we had made in Iraq - so now I'm not really sure why we keep sacrificing at the alter of warmongers and greed, especially with such domestic problems at home. And other countries with looming threats of weapons of mass destruction, etc., etc. So somewhere I've come to the personal conclusion it's someone(s) idea that we needed to cut down on the overall American citizenry to make room for more immigration and what better way to do that than to take our legals and kill them. Of course, we couldn't do that by doing away with the prison population, so we sent our hardworking National Guardsmen - who receive no VA benefits, and whose job holds have long lost expirations by their former companies, who have lost their homes, and oops, got lost in the computer system somewhere and now don't even exist, or was that how all those illigal social security numbers got distributed? Seems to me we definetly have a case of one wing not knowing that the other wing is broke and yet we're still trying to be a government - but no longer of the people, by the people, for the people - but of the few, by the few, for the few - as long as it's the few with the most amount of money.

Because we were gunning for Saddam Hussein. (And maybe something to do with oil. Perhaps they had us over a barrel. An oil barrel!) Iraq didn't have anything to do with 9/11, but Georgie probably thinks they're all the same.

After George Sr. was run out of office, Hussein and a bunch of his croonies put a price on Sr.'s head. This absolutely infuriated Jr. There is alot of money to be made in the Arab states. Its more than oil. It involves the runup of the defense budget, the no bid contracts for Haliburten, Blackwater... All run by politicians

...a pity... nobody remembers what America stands for. Liberty and freedom. Under Saddam Millions of Iraqi's dies, because of war, NO! He had them executed and buried them in mass graves! He used biological chemicals on the (mustard gas) and for what? His sick twisted pleasure! Everybody thinks it was because of Oil, Wrong! We are America Dammit, We are the good guys! Plus look at how the middle east is, it is a hot bed for terrorist action! Because Iraq is a free democracy, we have an ally in our war on terror!
Freedom and Liberty for all!

access to inexpensive oil for the american and british oil companies, so they could aquire inexpensive oil and sell it to their customers as gasoline, at inflated prices to achieve the highest possible profit. this is also the case for kerosine, which goes up in the winter, when the gas prices go down because it's used as heating fuel.
oil is not of unlimited supply, the american oil companies can sell someone else's oil and make a high profit; and not have to sell their own.
or do you still believe that freedom baloney?

well it was 9/11 that started it all.but saddam troops invaded kuwait and daddy bush sent troops to get them out before 9/11.but 9/11 was the main reason why we are there not to fight iraqi people but terrorist groups.
