I dont know but when you find out let me know. Try pet rescue centres, I think you only have to make a donation to the centre.

Animal shelters are always looking for people to adopt the cats and dogs they have. You may not find a chihuahua, at least not right away, but you can put your name on a list most likely, and they can call you when they get one. Or you might fall in love with one of the animals they have already.
Also, try petfinder.com. They list local shelters and some of the animals they are currently housing.
Good luck!

well if you are looking for chihuahuas there are a lot in New Mexico but they are hard to find because of the breeders. they run about $250 you can hardly find um free down here. Unless you like go to paws and claws.

you won't get a chihua hua cheap. They are now THE dog to own. You can expect to pay £800 to over £1000. If you want one that bad, go to a rescue centre or find a breed rescue through the kennel club. Better yet, save up. Just cause you want one doesn't mean you have to have it NOW. If you really want one, SAVE UP FOR IT!

In addition to petfinder.com, try using their "Classifieds" section, at the top of the search page. You can search through individual ads of people wanting to adopt out their animals.
You might always want to try looking at "Rescue" organizations, most breeds have them. Type Chihuahua Rescue into your search engine.

Why free? Even rescue centres need donations. If you cant afford money then get a mongrel dog for free. Why a chicuahua?

No rescue center will give you a free pup so forget it. They have to pay all their bills, worming and vaccination. If you can't afford a donation you can't afford a dog. You don't value what you get for free.

put in your zip code and it will pull up animal shelters and show you pictures. that's how i get all of my animals. I encourage you to adopt your animals, you will be saving their lives. If an animal is not adopted after so long, most shelters "put them down". I know i have seen alot of Chihuahuas in my area.

Go to a websit called freecycle.org. look in the section for your area of the united states and sign in for the towns nearest you..I belong to the one near my town and have seen people give away all sorts of things including animals. you may also go to the local humane society or SPCA and tell them what you are looking for and they will let you know if they get one.
