I think we can all relate to this question....At some point in time we all associate certain songs into our relationships whether it be romantically or just someone you consider a friend or heck even a family member...Both past and present, I have many songs I will hear and it will remind me of someone.

Yeah... a song usually triggers my memory about the person.. its usually a song that we talked about or that was playing in whatever experience i had with him... i think sometimes i even smile when the certain song comes up.. it seems like the songs i associate with people are ones from good experiences with the person...

Songs are an amazing tool that brings back memories or speaks to you about certain emotions your going through and thats why we love listening to them. Songs have certain attachments to time,people, places, things weve done. Its pretty cool really.

Thank you for confirming that I'm not totally insane!! I do that all the time. I read somewhere that music triggers the memory area in the brain. The same way that sight and smell can.
