Thats a really insulting poorly researched question. Many Sunday league games are much better to watch and higher skilled than Scottish football.

Id have to totally disagree. Unlike the English league, the Scottish league has recently become more competitive and is now contested by three teams, compared to Englands only real contenders, Chelsea, making for a far more exciting league.

It may be a smaller league, but it is more tightly contested and there may be a lack of money outside the Old Firm and Hearts, but teams like Hibs show that they can produce some of the best talent in the UK. Just ask Chelsea, who have already made ties with Hibs due to their great youth system.

The fact there are two Premiership sized clubs in the league, with far superior stadia to the majority of the Premiership and a larger international fanbase than all but Manchester United show that the Scottish league is far from a small league from a small country.

Players like Giovanni Van Bronckhurst, Henrik Larrson, Rino Gattuso made their name in Scotland and are playing at the highest level. Not bad for a league with little financial investment.

I think you'll find the percentage of overseas players in the Premiership and the SPL has affected both Scotland and England. Yes Scotland has been poor, but we had a tough qualifying group for WC 2006 (beaten by Italy and Norway, including holding Italy, semi-finalists, 1-1 at the San Siro, Italy equalising in the 85th min) and we face Italy, France and the Ukraine for Euro 2008. England had T & T, Sweden, Paraguay and Ecuador to beat. Their 2008 Euro qual group inc. Andorra, Macedonia, Estonia, Israel, Russia and Croatia. Big feckin whoop. Another cracking draw you got there. And the last time Scotland played England was at Wembley in 1999, and Scotland won 1-0. The Scottish league is poorer quality comp. to the prem, but Murdoch's Sky millions have helped.

If you're a metrosexual football fan, brought up on the delights of Spanish, Dutch or Italian footballing finesse, then I get your point. If however you might fancy a bit of prancing twirly long-haired footballers aping their wives every now and then, but never more so then when they're brought down in the area merely for being a count, Scots football is enthralling. I loved seeing a few Gers an Hibs taking a beating, pity Chelsea never visit the North.

Speaking as a Scot, I'm afraid to say I agree 100% with you. I'm hopeing scottish football is suffering from having too many foreign imports, thus local talent is squeezed out - eventually, the system will eat itself and the clubs will beforced to change tack. Hopefully this will happen to English football as well - hence Chelsea and Arsonal
