Where do you get your grapefruits from? Maybe you have lost your sense of taste? Grapefruits have taste. They are sweet with a slight sour bitterness to them. I like to peel the rind then the skin of each individual section and just eat the pulp. Some people prefer the pink/red grapefruits but I like the white ones. In Puerto Rico, they have a hybrid of grapefruits and oranges. Best wishes and take care.

Obviously you are buying the wrong grapefruits. Personally, I do not care for grapefruit as a fruit, but I am extremely fond of pink (ruby red, if I can get it) grapefruit juice.

Because the growers only grow the kinds of fruit that don't get scales on the skin, and that will last a long time during shipping. Taste comes WAY down on the list of priorities.

which ones are you eating. We grow grapefruits and oranges at my dad' s house and they are really good they have a sweet and sour taste to them. I guess is because they are from Texas. Rio Grande Valley fruits.

Have you ever taken the litmus test?
Litmus paper taste sour for some people and for some it tastes like nothing.
It has something to do with how you're recessive to some tastes.
