I would like to know what type of method and machinery is used to make packaged meat

Start with normal, untreated meat. Add salt, nitrates and other chemicals to keep it from spoiling. Add water to increase volume. Then package in plastic.......YUMMMMY!

Go to your local restaurant supply place, and you'll find a slicer for around $150-$200. Read the info carefully; this is an intense piece of machinery.

Regarding preparation - you'll also need a smoker.
