I had a friend who did a big tour of the US by car for her honeymoon. They drove the perimeter of the country going through Texas, Arizona, California, Washington state, the Dakotas, Chicago Illinois, the East Coast, and Florida. If you had time, that would be a great experience!

Otherwise, you may consider some lovely places that are not too far from Oklahoma. For example, it is about 8 hours or so to drive to Santa Fe, New Mexico which is a fantastic lovely town with wonderful resorts. The weather is fantastic, the views spectacular, and it is a low-key place to just cuddle with your spouse!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I hope this doesn't offend your answer Fresh Princess, but I live 45 minutes from Galveston and I travel to Florida to go to nice beaches instead of going to Galveston. It is not a nice place.
I have the same fear of flying and have always wanted to drive to the west coast. That might be nice! Make your destination San Diego or another nice Cali location.
Good luck and congratulations!

Go by train with a sleeping car. Think about the fun of having sex in an unfamiliar place. You will also travel safer, faster, and further (all while "sleeping" in). If you live in the Northeast Corridor you can take a car train. The train takes you to a destination and then you can drive your car around. It's a good way to visit Disney World.

What if you took a map of the US and put a star on all the little towns with love, happy, etc. in the name and then just drove and stayed at the most quaint inns and explored the country up close and personal. You will meet so many great people and see so many beautiful things! You will remember it forever.

Road Trip!
Go to Sarasota, Florida
Specifically Siesta Key, I thought the city was beautiful with great beaches.
Or if you want to go to other parts of the world (mainly this hemisphere) take a cruise.

Also you are right near Colorado and the Rockey's

Well that all depends on where you live hon. Mapquest places that you would like to see or stay at, and see how far the drive is. Or, you could just make it driving honeymoon, and stop where you like and see alot of places.

Get over your fear of flying. They sell booze on planes now too so if you have to get drunk to fly the first time go right ahead. After the first flight you'll get used to it. Do it for you. You need to rid yourself of the fear. There are so many places you could see if you can get on a plane.

I hear driving from island to island on the Florida Keys is a beautiful trip. I also know Grand Bahama Island you can get to by boat from Florida and its really not that far off the FL coast. It would be far to get to FL but I think it would be worth it.

The Lodge in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. At some point in time they were rated the #1 golf course in the country. That is if you don't mind driving there.
