No. But you have to go back to work for couple days, and than say you quit. Because that would be at-no-will employee stiuation. Good Luck!

No the laws have recently changed, I was off 10 months ago and didnt have to pay a thing back, I had 10 months off. I live in the uk.
The old law was that you had to return to work for 3 months once maternity had ended, I got around this by being signed off (i had depression) for 3 months. This counted as being back at work, but just on the sick.
This covers you for sure.

No you wont have to repay it but you need to tell your work place at the earliest oppertunity that you wont be returning, however the social offices will tell you that because you recieved smp from work that your not entitled to anything by them

No you do not have to return your smp i did that had maternity and then left. have fun with your baby and enjoy the time it goes so fast

Not sure what you mean by SMP - but if it refers to you maternity pay, then no, you wont. Check such things with your HR Dept.

Yes you do but you could go to your doctors and tell them you have postnatel depression and they will sign you off i know how you feel
