It is not just low carb (intake of few carbohydrates), the best diet is one that is low glycemic carb. This means carbohydrates that are lower in natural sugar.
I think sugar intake is key, natural sugar as well as pure sugar.
I personally think the Protein Power diet (Eades and Eades, M.D.s) worked the best for me. It is similar to the Zone diet, and probably the South Beach diet.
Good luck and eat healthy.

Low-Carb is NOT the best diet. It starves your brain of it's preferred and vital glucose.
The best diet is to cut portion sizes to the TRUE recommended portions (a portion of meat is 4 oz { The size of a SMALL womans palm}, most people eat as much as 12-16 oz a serving)
Eat a serving of fruit
Vegetable
Dairy
Grain
With each meal.
It's not that difficult. It's about changing habits and not eating everything you see.

The best diet for you is one that you can live with the rest of your life. Unfortunately, many assume that once they've lost the weight they can go back to what they were eating before (read: What got them fat in the first place)--this is not so. If you want to lose the weight, you're going to have to eat healthy the rest of your life.
My advice is to eat LOTS of green veggies, stay away from the white foods (white bread, pasta, rice, sugar, starchy foods like potatoes) and eat lean meats. (I consider myself a vegetarian who eats meat. lol. Veggies are the staple of my diet). Drink water. Exercise. Try to eat "natural"--meaning, shop the outside aisles of the grocery store where things have to be refridgerated. Here you'll find the produce section, the meat section, dairy, etc. If it comes in a box, chances are it's not good for you. Eat as close to the way nature prepared it as possible.

I uncooked feed either one of my puppies. I'm really new to uncooked feeding, however were learning it for a even as. When you are speaking approximately through-merchandise in dog food, the ones don't seem to be ft, organs, and so on. They are speaking approximately hair (which Patient Paws acknowledged), feathers (strain-cooked with steam till forming a gel), or even blood-soaked sawdust from a meatpacking flooring. Some industrial puppy meals additionally include the identical component discovered in clay kitty clutter! There is not anything improper with a puppy consuming ft or organs, and even hen backs and neckbones! My puppies occur to LOVE pigs ft. Organs are totally wealthy in vitamins and minerals and are truthfully very well to your pets.

I've done Weight Watchers since January and I've lost over 30 lbs. It's the easy "diet" I've ever been on. I rarely exercise and drink alcohol every weekend.
