i personally dont believe in it. but I do think if you wanna be it and if you dont dont.. I also believe gays should have the right to be married i know a few gay people and they have good if not better relations then hetrosexual relations

They probably feel proud to be gay because they are strong people who put up with ridicule, hate crimes, and gay bashes every day and have survived and have not changed under all of the pressure. I personally am not gay however I am proud of who I am ...and if i was gay and survived the torture that many gays deal with daily I would be proud too.

No, it's not good to be gay. Being gay isn't normal, political correctness be damned. Would you want to be gay? Gay people are proud to be gay because of people like me. It's their way of counteracting the negativity they receive and keeping their spirits up.

I am proud to be gay because it took me a while to accept it myself... I am proud because I didn't have a care about what anybody else thought in the end..... it's all about me......
Don't think gay people are happier though! About the same......

Some people are gay because they may have been thru allot of problems ore they just want to try it out.
The types of gays.
1."The Sexual Gay"
-The sexual gay is , the porno type of gay , this is the sick gay.
3."The Non-Sexual Gay"
-The good gay is allways better , at least they are not abusive.
People turn to gayness because of problems of as ive said and also because they want to try it.
The world is free , you can be anything you want to be, no ones stopping you.
The only problem is that The Gay people are allways made fun of and discriminated , especially the "Non-Sexual Gay"

They should be proud,just as you would be proud to be in love or a relationship.I have nothing against gay people.There should be love in your heart for everyone,no atter what their sexual preference.People are the way they are.Let them be.As long as they don't try to change you,don't try and change them.I am a straight female with a wonderful (male) fiancee'.He is my life,but that doesn't say that gay people don't have feelings for their partners.Respect other people's decisions to be what they want to be.

Because they have been oppressed since birth. And now on this planet it's more accepted & trendy than EVER. So as a result they feel the need to rub it in others faces. Similar to rich uppity yuppies. It's neither good nor bad to be gay, it just is what it is, a preference.

It doesn't feel good to be gay... there are so much social norms that contradicts with their sexual orientation... So it's not a question whether it is "GOOD" or "BAD", and gay people are not proud... they just learned to accept who they are and with that is the realization that they too are as much entitled to every right that straight men and women enjoy!
also, with such "conservative" society we have, such display of pride may be just a defense m,echanism to cope with such atrocity...
you know the answer to this question, you just need to look with your heart

think about it why are you proud of who you are? why shouldn't gay people be proud of who they are? there's nothing wrong with that... they are proud of whats inside and outside just like you are of yourself

yes... and why not? people are born gay and do not become gay overnight. it's just that because of society people are afraid of coming out of the closet as to say. i support gays not matter what the color or Creed they are. i do not see who and why we should judge.
