Why do the few "contrarians" in the global warming debate get equal press with the concensus of scientists?

BULLCRAP. Science in the 1930's also "proved" that if you were born into a lifestyle you had to keep carrying it out. That was a Science called EUGENICS. In the early 40's that horriable psuedo-science turned into the Holocaust. At Nuremburg they tried to figure out how this sick programs could go on. They found that it was able to happen because there was NO oversight basically. That these people just used jargon that sounded like it was medical and scientific and everyone believed it. No one really ANSWERED for anything they did. Hell half the stuff was basically making up terms by how it sounded from my reading. No one cared though. That is what the people with this "Global Warming" are doing. No one has to answer to anyone because no one questions them. Try reading "State of Fear" by Micheal Crighton. You will be AMAZED at just how different the "science" of "Global Warming" sounds when you stop reading the propganda of SUV Enviornmentalists. Espically be shocked if you read his article that explains the comparison between the "Science" of Global Warming to the PROVEN Psuedo-Science of Eugenics. He doesn't try to say that these enviornmentalists are trying to kill people but rather explaining how there is no oversight.

Do you know just how many times there have been "theories" over turned? Yet at the time some egg head said this is fact and every little duckling followed.

Look at the medical field.
1940's The doctors told people to start smoking because it help them relax !!! They even put cigarettes in the G.I.'s sea rations during the war...

And that was all of the Doctors saying that !!!

So now you have an egg head that states there is a hole that we can't see and you believe it.

There was no ozone damage causing global warming when the Ice age receded. Now was there???

This egg head needs to get out of the pot cause he is hard boiled already.

I think you have it backwards. Why do the few scientists that tout global warming get all the attention compared to the mass of scientists who don't? Read State of Fear by Crichton. He does some of the best research of any author and went into the topic with an open mind.

Science is not about making a "concensus", a concensus can be wrong. And most "contrarians" as you call them are not claiming that the globe is not warming. They are saying that the the human influence on this warming is debatable.
