Over the years I have heard of some very strange stories about
Jesus from different cultural traditions. One of the best is that he wandered as far as Japan were he settled down and opened a brewery that exists today and still makes beer. Do you know any strange or wonderful storis about Jesus or any other biblical character?

Jesus Keeps turning up throughout history my favourite is the black Zulu Jesus that had disciples and virgin Mary in the 19th Century. Of course there are Jesus's in every mental asylum that metamorphesize into Napoleon every midsummer's day. There is an old story that Jesus married Mary Magdalen moved to France and sired a royal dynasty. Jesus Gonzalez became the biggest coke dealer in Mexico. A bunch of Hippies at Findhorn in Scotland claimed that Jesus taught them how to grow giant vegetables. Jesus is also supposed to have appeared in numerous battles including when the Crusaders sacked Jerusalem, he joined in killing lots of Muslims. Of course every televangelist has had a personal experience of Jesus and thinks you should pay him to tell you about it (does Jesus Get a cut?).
Ronald Reagan used to have personal conversations with Jesus and his astrologer in the White House rose garden. Some highlander in New Guinea believe Jesus brought them the Yam and they worship him and the Duke of Edinburgh. Of Course Jesus is most famous for the invention of disinformation. He of course inspired the Inquisition, burning of heretics and genocide of numerous native none believers. I think I will make an animation of Jesus he is such a great comic character more potential then Bugs Bunny

As a beer buff I am fascinated to know what the brewery was called and whether holy water is used in the fermentation process.

I have tried a Google search for "Japan brewery jesus" and turned up zilch. This is REALLY surprising as Google nearly always finds even the most obscure of stories and facts.

Sorry I don't have any interesting stories about biblical characters - so I have not really answered your question.

The only "strange or wonderful stories about Jesus" that humankind knows are recorded in the Bible. All other stories are untrue.

A careful reading of the Bible confirms that Jesus never left the Promised Land. For example, Matthew 15:24 (b) says: “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Japan is most definately NOT part of the house of Israel.

Sorry to rain on your parade. This doesn't mean His Holy Spirit doesn't travel throughout the world. It goes every where, saving those who God knew from the foundation of the earth would accept Him.

Love and peace in Jesus.

Yes, that he was brutally tortured and people mocked him, spat at him and ridiculed him, and later he was crucified. As far as I know, God never let that happen. They say that he shed blood for our sins. If we're already forgiven, why pray to God and do good deeds when we're already forgiven. Why not kill people out of our own free will, loot the vine shops and perform sodomy?

We shall be judged by our own deeds on the Final Day, and no intercession shall be accepted That day. God made this universe for us, and made us for some purpose. Pnder what purpose would that be. Would that just be to live our lives happily without a purpose and be ready for a day of forgiveness?

And that brewery in Japan stuff is absolute blasphemy. He wasn't a capitalist, he was a man of God.

Just a comment...

It's absurd to think that a brewery would have lasted that long in that region! The thought is laughable.

I can't remember if it's in the Apochrypha or the Gnostic Gospels, but I've read that when he was a child, Jesus pushed a playmate boy off the roof, and when the boy fell, he either stopped him in mid-air or healed him of his injuries.

Once upon a time these people pretended this guy named Jesus was the son of god. They killed millions of people over this and they lived happily ever after. The end!

If you think the Bible is full of lies then you'd think every story therein is "strange."
