The absolute longest bridge in the world is the Causeway bridges crossing Lake Ponchartrain in New Orleans, LA. The bridges total span is 24 miles. Far dwarfing the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which is only about 1.25 miles. The Causeway bridges are listed in the Guiness Book of World Records as the longest bridge in the world by far.
