Personally I think its several things...
Apathy, ya just don’t care.
Pride, you don’t want to believe that there is something bigger and better than what you are right now.
And sometimes I think Fear is a big one. Alot of times people, especially the egocentrical "bible-bashers" that seem to flock and swarm all over the Yahoo Answers Religion page, will make the assumption that Christians are scared lil creatures that use the crutch of religion and God to help get them through day to day life. When personally I sometimes think that they truly fear what is out there and chose to not believe in it, hoping that maybe it'll go away.

Pride was the first and is the foremost anti-religion. It's also funny to note that it is also the groundwork for many religions and sects.
