Reporting on what has already happened is ok. That is news reporting. Problem is they like to broadcast in advance leaked planns for attack. "Sources in the pentagon say that the AirForce is planning an air strike between midnight and 6 am. They want to try and catch Osama by surprise" Is there any question why we can't find the son of a ***** when reports like this make it to the 6 o'clock news the day before the attack is supposed to happen. Do you think perhaps Osama might have someone with a satalite dish, Fox news channel, and a cell phone???

News footage gives Americans a good dose of reality. How do you feel when you see dead soldiers and what they have to endure? When war is across the globe, the media brings the horrors of war back home for all to see.

What really HURTS ur men & women involved there ,,,,IS being THERE.
They should NOT be there in the first place, they had nothing to do in THERE
they better get out of THERE before they all die THERE.
so what u want,u want the press to cover more on the american crimes over THERE?
What freedom!!!

Depends on who's reporting it, and how.

As a former military mbr myself I think accurate reporting of the facts (both positive and negative) is good.

It ensures that people are not being deluded with stories that everything's fine when there not.

The media hurts our efforts and has no business on the ground with the troops, they are not properly trained and endanger not only themselves but the troops as well.

hurts!!! for several reasons from operational security, to tactics, to plastering a picture in front of the public that screws up psychology & support for the mission, to making soldiers hesitant in fear of doing the wrong thing & getting crushed for it, advancing political agendas... it's all around bad!
