Though they rap about evil thing some rappers are truly church goers. By that i mean they were raised believing in god and trusting him. So when they get an award for a song they thank god and there momma. In many ways it is very ironic as the are thanking god for allowing them to speak there evil. Now for example the christian rappers thank god for thanking god. We are not going to win this fight but as long as god is being recognized we should all be happy christian or not.

They are christians, that's why they wear crosses and thank god. Rap is an art, and you have to respect it just like any other art form. A lot of them sing about guns, alcohol, violence, sex, and other shocking things because that's what a lot of them had to watch growing up. Just because you had the privelege of living in a safe neighborhood and had both parents there to protect you doesn't mean you can call someone else evil for what they had to do to survive. You can tell some of them wouldn't have gotten into the rap business if they didn't want a better life.

We are supposedly God's creation with free will. They are using their "God Given" creativity to do things not necessarily sanctioned by God. However, they are not much different than those Christians who go to Church only because of ulterior motives. We have to admit, being a Christian, has become sort of a fad, a club everyone can say they belong to, without necessarily adhering to what the standards are. These rappers are saying they're a member of the club, offending some when they thank God for their talents...while "stabbing Him in the back" through their lyrics and messages they're spreading to our children.

The same way the mob boss could sit in church while a family is being killed. People look at their jobs as there jobs. If they are doing well with there jobs they attribute it to God. Rap is an expression most of the people who have rapped about killing have never owned a gun. I mean its all about what is selling. I mean as you know most people who are in church on Sunday are having a hang over. Its about what you believe Christianity isn't about perfection its about be a better you.

Plus you are passing judgment aren't you that is definitely not your job last time I check the scripture.

2 Timothy 3:1 "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!"

Wearing a cross and thanking God in front of people doesn't make you a true Christian. As quoted above, in the last days (in which we are living, by the way), one of the characteristics of people will be to wear and say things that lead others to believe they're godly; however, their everyday actions ("fruits" in Christian lingo) betray them, showing all who care to watch that they deny God's absolute sovereignty. Instead, Satan has lead them to believe the first lie: "you can be like gods."

I'm old enough to remember when rap music used to bring a positive message. Not so, any more. God help us that our nation's youth are so willing to listen to the Satanic lies pushed upon them by today's rap music. And God help us that their parents permit them.

Peace and love in Jesus.

Because its the cool thing to do. Just like athletes. If they were TRULY Christian, their lifestyle, actions and music would reflect that.
