In Persian (Iranian language), We say:

"Don't dig a deep hole (Well) for others. First you'll fall it down, then others."

In this situation, someone doing somethings wrong and he/she know/understand it's wrong. Actually, he/she wants to hurt others.

We have this proverb that you mentioned too. Of course we don't use it in this situation.

"Spit towards the sky and it should land in your face"

We use this while someone do something wrong and the others reaction will come back and hurt him/her.

It means doing something wrong while you don't know/understand that is wrong.
