"the only way to do is to be" - Lao Tzu

Acceptance is not always the answer. There is a time for everything.

For example: If I told you to just 'accept' that your are not on the planet Earth or that you have never eaten anything in your entire life you would immediately assume that I am crazy.

If truth was completely relative than acceptance would be the key. This is not the case.

You are on the planet Earth and you have eaten food.

It's as simple as that.

Define acceptance? There are some people who believe you have to accept everything they tell you and you are to go along with it. If you disagree with what they are saying, then you are a hate monger and you are just trying to cause dissent among the masses. Peronally, I think that you can accept a person for who and what they are, and you can do that without agreeing with the actions or beliefs of that person. Just because you disagree about something doesn't mean you hate them, and that you don't accept them. Because we are human, and we have our own minds, thoughts and beliefs, we are not going to agree or accept everything that someone else says. But there is a way to get along with them and to be able to live side by side. But not everyone is in agreement or accepts this......

I happen to agree with the first answer....Lao Tzu is right. But if you mean accepting people. For their religion, race, sexual orientation, or anything else then yes. Accepting :people", is the key to everything. Not just acceptance.

The key to everything is an ear to hear God by way of the Holy Spirit. the Word of God says the Holy Spirit gives you all you need to have success in life and Godliness. Christ is the key to all things.

Jesus accepted people where they were and knew that people who are in "sin" need to have their butts in the seat. Look at the people He associated with and did not judge then tell me how I can judge anyone. My goal is to accept as Christ did to love the person not the actions. Jesus is long suffering with us -- look at Judas could you eat, be friends with, wash the feet of the man you knew would betray you; yet, Jesus did he accepted Judas for who and what he was.

My favorite quote of all timne is from the book "2150 AD" by Thea Alexander.
"The measure of a minds evolution is its acceptance of the unacceptable."
This doesn't mean that I condone everything but only that I try to accept that things are the way they are supposed to be at this moment. So my answer to your question is yes.

Acceptance - allowing things to be as they are - is the way of life for plants and bovines. Humans aren't here to accept, we survive by analyzing our world and altering it (or ourselves) to make it work better. Acceptance is living in a cave waiting for the bears to eat us.

Acceptance is the beginning on non-judgment, which is a great way to exist. See things as "they are" instead of "they are good/bad:.

If you accept things in your life, then there is nothing in life that can trouble you. I also think that if you accept things then hate and bitterness is not part of your life.
