Tell her that you are involved in an under cover investigation to do with your work and that you are sorry to keep letting her down. You didn't want to tell her beforehand as you'd been sworn to secrecy blah blah blah - you get the idea

Why the hell are you bothering with excuses? How would you like if you were in her position??
just tell her you're not interested - grow a backbone - let her go, move on and find a guy WORTH having.
Guys like you make me sick - are you so scared of being alone that you have to have her there on standby?

Tell her that you are tired and need some time to yourself, or that you want to see a friend. Don't give any more excuses...I'm sure she doesn't want you to tell her lies. Tell the truth. It's quite acceptable to want to spend time on your own or with other friends.

i would tell her that you need to go and see your aunty whos in hospital,who is very bad,tell her your aunty has been asking to see you and you feel awfull incase anything does happen to her,tell her you will take her out tommorrow night,believe me she will be ok,she will probably feel sorry for you
