The "War on Terrorism" is a cutesy-coined word by the idiots in power. Terrorism is an ACT not an enemy. It would be like a war on stealing or a war on graffiti. It is impossible to win such a war with any kind of physical action or violence because the next terrorist could be your dentist who's reached his limit on some issue and gone over the edge. The only way to stop terrorism and the creation of terrorists is with negotiation, compromise, and an open mind with EVERYONE. A mindset of PEACE would be a good place to start.

What war on terrorism???????????

Maybe some day you will get it!

"And what the hell is terrorism, anyway? It's not a thing; it's not a place; it's not a person. It is a political and military strategy, that's all. Having a 'War On Terrorism' is as ridiculous as having a 'War on Flanking Maneuvers'. You'll end terrorism when there's no longer anything for anybody to get pissed off about."

Col Hackworth

"Saddam Hussein now sits in a prison cell, and Iraqi men and women are no longer carried to torture chambers and rape rooms."

I am against war period. They say we have to fight terrorism yet our borders are not even protected properly. Any one can come in from Mexico. Maybe we should protect our country and not worry about a country where men are losing their lives and nothing will probably ever change. That part of the world is set in their ways and nothing will change that. Look at the other wars really what did it accomplish.

I'm for the war on terrorism, but I think we went to the wrong place to fight it. Afghanastan was where the enemy was and we went to Iraq instead, so the enemy followed us there and now the terrorists are all over. Poor decision. I have no problem fighting the man responsible for 9/11...Osama Bin Laden and Al Quaida, not Sadaam Hussein and the Iraqi people.

I'm not for any kind of war. But I am for individual freedom and I will exercise any and all means to protect me and my family against terrorism of any kind. It is wrong it is evil and needs to be destroyed, and if that takes war then so be it.

I am for the war on terrorism. I guess its just the protector in me that hates that group of religious zealots who wish to impose their distorted views and lifestyle on the world. They kill and maim innocent people and limit freedom, so I feel it is my duty as a human being to want to stop them. What I don't understand is if they can reach martyr status by dying, why they just don't do mass suicides amongst themselves. It would sure save a bunch of money and lives.

You're kidding, right? Are you suggesting we not fight terrorists?

1. I am for finding and killing ALL known terrorists in the world.

2. I am AGAINST the war in Iraq as I never saw any connection with Iraq and 9/11. I DO, however, support our troops and their efforts there. If that's contradictory, so be it.
