It is according to what kind of sin to which you are referring. We all sin but if your constantly stealing or lying.etc., then there are steps to be taken, first associate yourself to other true people of faith (not the condemners) and let them help guide you according to biblical principals...Good Luck

I try and fly from sin. I want life, not death.

There are many things that I do to try and lead a virtuos life. I am human and will sin, but I also have fee will and I can choose to have God in my life. Therefore - if you are asking me what I personally do, this is my answer:
1) Prayer helps me. I say the Rosary almost daily. I pray for others as well as myself.
2) Reading holy books helps me. The bible, Imitation of Christ, Interior Castle, Confessions, Flowers of Saint Francis, Story of a Soul are some books written by some holy people. By reading works like this I can model myself on them.
3) I participate in as many of the 7 sacrements as possible. I go to church and confession. Confession erases my sins and renews my committment to do good and puts me in a state of grace with God.
4) I try and be fair in all my actions. The four cardinal virtues are wisdom, temperence, fortitude and justice.
5) I try and not dwell on past injuries that have been done to me.

So, I am but a simple man and I will sin. These actions help me not to sin and live virtuously. I hope this answers some of your question.

That is a difficult one. Once a sin gets a hold on you to that extent the only way to conquer it is to maintain a close walk with the Lord. If you ever let your guard down it will be back. That is God's way of forcing you to stat close to Him. The best thing is to never get into habitual sins because once you do the road is difficult.

by understanding there is NO SUCH THING AS SIN. There is right and wrong, if you live your life as a morally decent person the sin thing shouldnt worry you. However if you live your life by an old dusty book that has no relevance in todays society you must be more stupid than people think :)

With a 1/2 gallon of vanilla ice cream... oh, wait that would be gluttony. How about confession of sin. I'm thinking about eating some vanilla ice cream... there I feel better, thanks.
