get one of those netted laundry bags or even a pillow case. add the soap and go to town. this will keep her from getting her claws into you!

cats should clean themselves and therefore not really need baths and thank god since giving a cat a bath will definitely cause some blood to be drawn.

obviously in some cases (such as the flea situation) it is necessary, but for the most part it isnt.

however, when I was younger i insisted on bathing my cats and i found that, while they will almost never like it, the more often you bathe them, the less they flip out (although some cats are hopeless. be careful about bathing them too often or using shampoos because it can dry out their skin and cause dandruff and excessive shedding.

Use Frontline Plus and forget the bath. Cats don't need baths, they take good care of their coats. A brushing or combing on a daily basis is an excellent way of removing excess hair. Frontline Plus kills adult fleas and their eggs. A reasonable price for the frontline is UPCO catalog or its online site. Besides, Frontline Plus is used just once a month.

Dont!! Just go buy Advantage from your vet to get rid of the fleas other than that you just have to struggle to bath them because they will never grow to like it. If yuo want a cat that likes bath get a Turkish van...lol they love water. Normal Dsh usually dont and cats dont need baths anyway I have 4 and never bath them they clean themselves!!

Try putting a small tub of water out with a bit of cat-nip. Make it enjoyable for her. If she shows interest pet her with a handful of water. Do this only under direct supervision. If this or any of the other advice given doesn't work you may just want to take her to a groomer, preferably one that is located within a veterinarian office (they are experienced and keep it professional when it comes to a fractious cat).

most cats hate baths. my cats are indoor cats and get a bath maybe once a year. my wife and I bath them. the best way would be QUICKLY.
You could also try just wiping her down with a wet washcloth, not as effective against fleas but will make her fur look nicer.

Well, other than just holding her down, I don't know what to say. My cat hates baths, as well as my dog, so pretty much we play tug of war when they need a good washing.

Don't. There are flea meds.. Once a month. Easy. Cats hate baths like fish hate blow dryers.

Consider bringing your pet to a groomer. They are trained to give cats a bath and they also have industrial flea shampoo that can kill fleas with one application.

ALL cats hate baths, but they do wery well at cleaning and grooming thehselves. unlike a dog, It's better to leave a cat alone and let it take care of its cleanliness in its own way. Don't force it -

Cats naturally hate water so she will probably never like it, but she will get used to it. You just have to hold her and bath her and try to keep her calm.
