I make a dessert with equal quantities of whipped and sour cream, mixed frozen 'fruits of the forest' (blueberries, blackberries etc.) save a few berries for decoration then mix together with an electric whisk and sweeten to taste. Serve in individual dishes (ramekins). Quick, easy and a good standby dessert for those unexpected guests!

Gosh, this is a real hard question for me, as I am such a 'dessert-a-holic'. I think I would have to say an authentic, real Italian-style Tirimisu. Not the fake kinds, but the ones with the real lady fingers and the layers of mousse-type filling with the hint of coffee and chocolate in the background. YUM!!!

Depends on what I've just eaten for main course. After steak or wild boar I like Isle Flottant. It's basically a softish meringue served on creme anglaise or custard. Dead easy to make.

I make many homemade speciality desserts. The best so far are Triimisu, and a dessert called "Boca Negra" which means literally "black mouth" It is a dense, rich, flourless, chocolate cake made with bourbon- topped with a white chocolate bourbon cream!!! Unbelievable!!! But who doesn't love good ole apple pie, fresh out of the oven???

Syrup sponge and custard.............
Real comfort food.
Otherwise I actually prefer savoury stuff and don't often eat puddings. Ruins the tastes of the main course, if you see what I mean.
I would sooner have a second helping of the main course.
