Dogs and cats in general if being fed a balanced food ( which most all are) and has no nutrition abnormalities. Should not need a supplement of any sort. You may in turn be overdosing a certain nutrient...Anyways. Cats shed, this is a fact of life, some cats shed more than other. If you are brushing daily and this doesn't appear to be seasonal. Your cat is probably just shedding. Unless the shedding is followed by other symptoms IE:scratching, red spots, losing clumps of fur, etc. If you are truly worried make an appointment with a vet...

That could be a sign of stress or allergies. If there are other symptoms like sneezing it is most likely allergies. If not, then something new around or possibly strangers that is upsetting him. Otherwise it is just the normal shedding the winter coat.
I rescue cats and have one cat that sheds alot too...she is my oldest cat (20) and it is just her winter coat. Every cat is unique and different just like us. Some just shed more than others.

does he have small areas where he has no or little hair? if so, it is actually possible that he has a skin condition called "ringworm" which isn't a worm at all. it makes the cat lose hair faster and more than normally. it also causes the host to have small areas where the skin is dead with no hair. those spaces are about 2-3cm across. if it definitly isn't, go to
www.animalplanet.com and look in the cat care section then fill in the blank with ringworm to find out if thats it, if not consult your vet.
