You can buy a pound or so of deli meat and cheese make sandwiches with lettuce and tomato. Deli meat, cheese, hard boiled egg and make a chef salad.

Also a cobb salad, BLT, leftovers from dinner especially pasta works well for lunch.

Cottage or Riccota cheese with peaches, pineapple and strawberries. Homemade soup is very inexpensive and if you need more add 1/2 a sandwich. I add fresh fruit, peanuts, crackers and yougurt and granola bars to make it a real meal.

Keeping some of these items in my desk or refrigerator helps out if I am running late and forget to make a lunch. Generally I prepare it before I go to bed in case I am running late in the morning.

Depends on what you like.... I usually eat a very light lunch, as I don't really get a 'sit-down' time, so I need something I can eat while I am driving. I think a good one is tuna fish and crackers, with some fruit on the side. I also like mixing plain tuna outta the can with cottage cheese. It makes it creamy, and it's quite satisfying. Have some saltines, or "Keebler" Club crackers on the side with some good pickles, and red grapes; and you've got yourself quite a little meal.

i take my lunch to work all the time. you really do save money that way. michelina's frozen dinners are good if you have access to a microwave.if not a good sandwich is always ok. if you have access to a refrigerator. if you have to keep your lunch in your desk i suggest a p.b sandwich, some chips, maybe a candy bar or debbie cake for when that sweets craving kicks in midafternoon.

Buy some frozen tv dinners, make cold cut sandwiches, left-overs, and cook something the night before and take it with you.
